DNSBOX300 can be deployed with a failover unit. This is set to 'failover' mode and configured
to synchronize data on a periodic basis from the active master. In the event of the active machine
failing, the failover is restarted in PRIMARY mode and starts to respond to zone transfer requests
and name queries.
When the original active machine becomes available again, it is placed in 'failover' mode until
the data has been fully synchronized back. Both machines are then restarted and their modes
reversed. To ensure reliable zone transfers, it is usual to set up slaves to know of both the active
and the failover master. This way they automatically query the failover machine when necessary
without needing reconfiguration.
